The SBC Spring Brake Control is a solid-state fast-response control for 90 or 24 VDC spring brakes.  Energy saving adjustable holding voltage reduces power consumption and lowers coil heating while the brake is held off, and offers faster brake engagement when coil voltage is removed.

24 VDC models offer built-in over-energization (OE) to ensure quick brake release and compensate for increasing gap as the friction surface wears.  Fewer gap readjustments means less maintenance time.

Full voltage is initially supplied to the load, resulting in fast release (brake turn-off).  Following the adjustable full-voltage time, the output drops to the adjustable holding voltage which can be adjusted from 10% to 60% of rated voltage.

OPERATION
-32
a. When a logic signal is applied to terminals 1,2, full voltage is applied to the load, resulting in fast brake release.
b. After an adjustable delay the brake coil voltage drops to a user-adjustable holding voltage.
c. When the logic signal is removed from terminals 1,2, coil voltage is removed and the brake engages.

-NL
a. When power is applied (to L1,L2 or +,- terminals), full voltage is applied to the load resulting in fast brake release.
b. After an adjustable delay the brake coil voltage drops to a user-adjustable holding voltage.
c. When power is removed (from L1,L2 or +,- terminals), coil voltage is removed and the brake engages.
